Hand over a task
Click "Create in Jira" in Complass or set a rule that does it automatically.
Work on it in the team
The issue appears in the chosen Jira project with title, deadline, priority and the control reference.
Status comes back
About every five minutes Complass syncs status, comments and assignees.
Confirm completion
When Jira reports "done", the responsible person confirms in Complass. The audit trail shows a decision, not an automatism.

Which data is exchanged

Setup

Jira Cloud: sign-in at Atlassian through OAuth 2.0 and consent to read and create issues and to read users. Complass never gets your password.
Jira Data Center: a technical user with a personal access token. The server is reachable from the internet over HTTPS, an administrator approves the address in Complass. Complass reminds you before the token expires.
You choose project, issue type, priorities and the statuses that mean "done" in a wizard.
Rules for automatic handover, for example for audit findings, incidents or vulnerabilities from a CVSS score, are off at first.
Administrators with the right for API, webhooks and integrations can set it up.

Seguridad y protección de datos

Access tokens are stored encrypted in Complass.
Complass polls Jira. Jira never has to connect to Complass.
When you disconnect, Complass deletes the access tokens. Linked tasks stay in Complass.
Complass checks the Jira accounts it knows weekly against the Atlassian personal data interface and treats closed accounts as closed.

Preguntas frecuentes

Can Jira close a task in Complass?

Not by default: Complass asks the responsible person. If you prefer, you can set per connection that "done" in Jira closes the task directly.

Does it work with Jira behind a firewall?

Jira Data Center must be reachable for Complass over HTTPS from the internet, on port 443 or 8443 with a public certificate. If access is restricted, allow the Complass sender addresses in your firewall.

In which language does Complass create the issues?

Currently in German, whatever the language of your Jira.

How do I disconnect completely?

Disconnect in Complass. For Jira Cloud also remove Complass afterwards under "Connected apps" in your Atlassian account.
