Connected directly
Slack: Compliance where your team writes
Deadlines, incidents and approvals appear in your Slack channels.
How it works
- Create the Slack app
Complass shows you a ready-made template. With it you create your own Slack app in your workspace.
- Connect a channel
You install the app, choose a channel and enter the webhook address in Complass.
- Choose the notices
You choose which events appear and how much content a message shows.
- Notices arrive at once
When an event happens, Complass sends the message. Many notices in a short time are combined into one summary.
Which data is exchanged
| Direction | Data | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Complass → Slack | Messages about incidents and reporting deadlines, new vulnerabilities, due and assigned tasks, pending approvals, evidence, backups, certificates and other events | You decide how much a message shows: only type and link, with title or with a short excerpt. |
| Slack → Complass | No data | Complass reads no Slack messages and no channel lists. |
| Not exchanged | Whistleblower reports | Never appear in Slack. |
Setup
- Create the Slack app from the Complass template and install it in your workspace.
- Choose a channel and enter the webhook address in Complass.
- Confirm that the channel is not shared with external organisations.
- Administrators with the right for API, webhooks and integrations can set it up.
Security and data protection
- The webhook address is stored encrypted in Complass.
- Complass only accepts Slack webhook addresses and sends nowhere else.
- Messages are sent as plain text, without automatic link previews.
- Whistleblower reports never appear in Slack.
